A BRONZE MODEL OF AMITABHA BUDDHA AND A GILT BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI Ming Dynasty and Nepal, 20th century Comprising: a bronze figure of Buddha seated in dhyanasana with the right hand reaching towards the ground in bhumisparshamudra, the left hand held gently in dhyanamudra, the face in a meditative expression with downcast eyes flanked by elongated earlobes, crowned by tightly-curled hair rising to a high chignon, wearing a long robe open at the chest revealing a wan emblem; together with a gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni seated on a pedestal and turning the wheel of dharma.
