[Geneva or Paris]: Excudebat Henr. Stephanus, 1573. Vellum, label with gilt on spine, all edges speckled. 8vo; 160; 151, 276, 176, 98pp. Roman type with italic; text in Latin with Greek. With indices, printed marginalia, woodcut printer's device on title page, with woodcut initials and ornaments. Note that Grässe lists Paris as the location which contradicts Adams. Does not perfectly match Adams collation; all five parts in proper order with early indices mis-bound. Adams V282; Grässe 6.2/262.

Marcus Terentius Varro (116-27 BCE) was a Roman scholar and author best known for De lingua latina (On the Latin Language) and De re rustica (On Agriculture), both included in this collection. Grässe writes about this line on page 12 of this edition: 'Here si querelis...' that he notes that Scaliger attributes to an ancient poet. (Grässe 6.2/262).
