George of Trebizond (1395-1486) was a scholar and humanist who spent most of his life in Italy. He is known for his Latin translations of Plato, Aristotle, and the works of other important ancient scholars and philosophers.

Parchment with stains and mild discoloration, several tiny wormholes, lacking ties, spine with wear, cracking at joints, slight separation from textblock; sticker on front paste-down, separation of rear paste-down; pages lightly toned with scattered foxing and occasional marginalia; frequent damp staining at edges and corners; one page with tear at margin, one page with small loss at margin, neither impacting text.
