Description
Studied philosophy and literature at the Sorbonne. He founded the International Workers' Party and devoted himself to action against colonialism in Algeria and Morocco. In 1943, he was deported to Buchenwald. After the war, he resumed his fight against colonialism in Indochina and Algeria. In 1950, he founded the International Commission against the Concentration Regime. He was the first to use the term gulag. Photograph with autograph dedication signed 30.11.1949 to Paul Langer.
