The artist, born Feodor Viktorovich Kosakow (Polish-Ukrainian, 1887-1968), studied painting at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. Worked in Austria as painter and illustrator. After the start of WWII, emigrated to the USA and worked as painter, graphic artist, illustrator, journalist and educator.
