Utagawa (Ando) Hiroshige: Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion) and Mount Kinugasa.
From series Famous Views of Kyoto (Kyoto meisho no uchi).
Publisher: Kawaguchiya Shozo (Shoeido, Eisendo)
Edo period, Tenpo 5 c.1834. Later restrike.
Color woodblock print (nishiki-e). Ink and color on paper.
Dimensions: Horizontal oban 9 5/8 × 14 ½ in. Kept in exceptional Japanese cherry wood gilt frame under glass 14 x 19 in.
