Description
[DRYDEN, JOHN].

The Revolter. A Trage-Comedy Acted between the Hind and Panther, and Religio Laici, &c. London: 1687. First edition. Later calf spine, marbled paper boards. 8 x 6 1/2 inches (20 .5 x 16.75 cm); [2], 32, [2] pp., with final blank leaf present, woodcut device to title page. Light wear to spine and corners, contents with pale spotting, a few leaves trimmed close with headlines shaved, bookplate from the Fox Pointe Collection.

This scarce book is an anonymously penned verse satire of the work of John Dryden, including extracts from his poetry. There are two variants of the title page, this likely being the latter with the correct spelling of "Revolter." Wing, R1206.
