A group of six 18th century leather bound volumes from Kimbolton Castle, all Ecclesiastical in nature
Lot includes six volumes of various 18th century Ecclesiastical works; Old and New Testament and Books of Common Prayer; all folios, with Kimbolton Castle Library location labels to front endpapers
Kimbolton Castle is a country house in Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire, England. It was the final home of King Henry VIII's first wife, Catherine of Aragon. Originally a medieval castle but converted into a stately palace, it was the family seat of the Earls and Dukes of Manchester from 1615 until 1950.
Folios here are in generally poor condition with extreme biting to edges both leather, boards, and papers; extreme wear to spines all with loose or gone hinges.
