(Disney, 1954) The original title cel reading “Walt Disney’s” from the “Disneyland” TV series, paired with a Tinker Bell cel. “Disneyland” was the first Disney anthology series, introducing the world to Fess Parker as Davy Crockett, and of course Walt’s original theme park, Disneyland. The opening animation for the program began with Tinker Bell flying in over the “Disneyland” title before introducing the sponsors Derby Foods and American Motors. This cel appeared immediately after the sponsors, as the announcer proclaims they “Present Walt Disney’s Disneyland.” The untrimmed title cel measures 16” x 12.5”, with the lettering measuring 7.5” x 5”, and the full blue field measuring 16” x 11.75”. The Tinker Bell cel from another production measures 12.5” x 16”, with a character image size of 5” x 2.5”. Both cels are in very good condition, with a few small spots of paint loss at the edges of the blue in the title cel.
