(Disneyland, 1977) An original ride vehicle from Space Mountain in Disneyland. One of the most sought-after Park vehicles, this futuristic rocket ship features glow-in-the-dark side panels and an eye-catching color scheme. Numbered vehicle “9”, this is the front car of a Space Mountain train, which is why it has a red bumper and no rear jets. Speakers were added during a refurbishment in the 1990s to make this Tomorrowland thrill ride even more intense. Measuring 37” tall, 48” wide, and 112” long, the ride vehicle is in very good condition with scuffs, scrapes, deteriorated finish on the lap bars, upholstery swelling in the back seat, and typical wear from age and Park use.
