Of cylindrical form, the exterior painted with a continuous river landscape, a group of three scholars sitting on the riverbank looking out across a river with a boat crossing to a distant shore with overhanging pines and dwellings nestled between rocks, the base four-character mark within a small recess.
15cm (6in) high, 19cm (7 3/8) diam.

The four-character commendation mark can be translated as 'Scholarship high as the Great Bear'.

There is an approximately 12cm hairline from the rim. There is an approx 3x2cm area of discolouration to the exterior of the glaze.
