An album of 179 pages with 548 quarter-page and full page illustration each labelled in Chinese with corresponding Romanisation, comprising 69 pages with 276 illustrations of antique treasures and functional objects, 22 pages with 88 images of insects, 17 pages with 68 images of mammals and mythical beasts, 15 pages with 60 images of birds and 56 full page illustrations of flowers, bound with a yellow ground silk brocade cover, the edges gilt, later cloth-bound box.

The silk brocade front cover slightly faded and stained, no silk brocade back cover present. The binding beginning to pull, with cover loose. Light foxing througout. Spotting internally with small holes, maximally approx 8mm across, generally in the section containing flowers. Colours bright and fresh throughout.
