Potted in shallow vessel form, thick and deep, globular body, emerging S shape flanked on the shoulder, short neck, round opening mouth lip, raised with short three elephant legs. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor. The lotus flower is depicted in Chinese art, poetry and?architecture.On the Shoulder base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
