Dogs. A pair of 18th century Chinese Famille Verte foo dogs with stylized manes on flower decorated bases. Both are perched with one paw atop a cub and an embroidered ball. A partially illegible stamp to the interior of the male foo dog reads, "Import Sales Co Importers Exporters". From a White Plains, NY estate. Dimensions: Both measure approx. 18.375" in height.
Condition
Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Please examine the provided photos to thoroughly evaluate each piece. The male foo dog exhibits a previous repair and loss to the ball and ribbon and a chip to the base. The female foo dog exhibits a previous repair to the cub's leg and a minor chip to the base.
