16 Gauge. 28" barrel length. SN: 35229. 3" chamber length. Full choke Left Modified choke Right. Blued twist Damascus steel barrels with case colored frame in Walnut semi-pistol grip stock with hardrubber Lefever Arms Company monogram buttplate. Double barrel boxlock ejector hammerless shotgun with sideplates and a matted barrel rib. Sideplates display the LEFEVER ARMS CO. markings beside vignettes of a Brittany Spaniel pointer to each side. Triggerguard is engraved with a duck, and all metal components show border scroll engraving with spiral scroll flourishes and sunbursts over the screws. Trigger plate is struck with patent information with only the following string of numbers legible, 80. 85. 86. 87. Serial number to the watertables is followed by the E grade marking with a further E struck into the left barrel after the serial number. Serial numbers match on the forend, barrels, triggerguard, and watertables. Toe of the stock mounts a silver oval plate bearing the initials REC.

Good. Bores are bright with right barrel showing three pits and a light dent on the exterior surface 7" from muzzle. Blued finish has taken on a brown patina overall with some blue remaining on the barrel flats. Color casehardened finish faded to silver with signs of buffing over the frame that has obscured the patent markings. Barrel rib is matted all the way to the muzzle. Wood stock retains strong checkering on the wrist and forend, but the forend has split across the grain at the center with glue residue and the visible seam from an attempted repair. Engraving shows signs of washing out overall. Action is tight with barrels resting on face and the lever resting left of the centerline.
