The case has some small scratches due to use but there are no major scratches that stand out.
The outer periphery of the dial has some damage due to age but it is not noticeable to the naked eye and remains in relatively good condition.
The leather band has been replaced with a new one.
The machine has been overhauled.
Winding up the rotor is easy and there is no problem with accuracy.

The Seikomatic Chronometer Ref.6246-9000 is a low-beat high-precision watch that shows the Japanese's obsession with manufacturing.
The Seikomatic Chronometer is the first domestically produced self-winding chronometer that was newly developed based on the ``6216'' in order to pass the world standard for luxury goods ``CHRONOMETER''.
The crown is located at 4 o'clock to emphasize that it is a self-winding movement (no manual winding function).
At that time the idea that luxury items were hand-wound was widespread but with the introduction of the 62 Chronometer automatic winding became recognized as a luxury item both in name and reality.
However in 1966 Switzerland requested that we stop using the ``CHRONOMETER'' notation in our in-house certification so production ended after about a year.
The case back is of course the symbol of "CHRONOMETER" a golden lion medal.
The dial case crown etc. are made exclusively for the watch and it has been adjusted and inspected to the level of an excellent chronometer making it a top-of-the-line Seiko self-winding watch.
It is the highest quality product that Japan is proud of comparable to the Swiss-made luxury products of the time.
