Description
The Bronze Sculpture captures the saga of the ceaseless keeping of the balances of life and death seen here between two majestic creatures in the natural world. The buffalo and bear seem to have encountered each other leading to a moment of surprise. They both go into defense stances. The bear begins to lift himself onto his hind legs to appear larger than his adversary. The bull, keeping locked eyes, lowers his powerful head, his hind leg scratching at the dirt, preparing himself to charge if needed. Both animals are revered in the the symbolism that their essences represent. Some keywords pertaining to symbolic buffalo are provision, gratitude, abundance, consistency, strength, stability, blessing and prosperity. The symbolic meaning of the bear pertains to peace, resurrection, power, benevolence, motherhood and duality. The Sculpture was cast using the age old method of lost wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. It is mounted upon a marble base. Dimensions: Height 9 X Width 21 inches. Weight: 25 LBS.
