THE RAREST COLLECTIBLE NEWSPAPER FROM THE JFK ASSASSINATION

It is no secret that Kennedy assassination papers were saved by everyone.

Well the one I am offering here is a lot different and is considered rare and highly desirable for any collection. JFK was shot it was almost exactly one hour before they pronounced him dead. The technology allowed newspapers to get the news out to everyone extremely fast. Some papers took the morning edition and just changed the headline to KENNEDY SHOT BUT NOT DEAD!!! The rest of the frontpage was as it was on a happy Friday morning. If you think about the time it took the newspaper to go to a reprint to show that Kennedy was shot but not dead yet the few papers that printed that headline literally had to change it minutes later when he was pronounced dead.

This paper was taken off the new stands and destroyed with the new headline that he was dead/assassinated.

On top of that, if this was sent to your home how many people do you think actually saved it because all they cared about was the assassination headline to save.

I have been collecting newspapers for over 10 years now with a major focus on Kennedy and I have only been able to purchase about a dozen of these.

Maybe only 10-15 out of 3400 papers printed actually put this headline out, the others did not until he was dead! This is the first time in a decade I'm actually letting one go. I hope you win this auction lot because someday this will be a $1000 newspaper.
