Vintage Rolex Precision wristwatch with rare ?Thunderbird? bezel dated Circa 1947.
Snap back 18ct gold case with straight, tapered, curved lugs. Rare milled ?Thunderbird? bezel with indented square markers for the hours and a double square marker for 12. Case marked Rolex, with the Rolex crown ribbon cartouche (insignia), Geneve, Suisse, the Swiss head and 18ct gold hallmarks.
Rolex, 18-Rubies (Jewels) precision lever escapement, chronometer, movement with Superbalance. Movement marked Rolex, Chronometer, Timed 6 positions, Swiss made.
Silvered dial with raised gold, faceted dart indexes for 3, 6 and 9, and double markers for 12. Black baton indexes for hours. Raised gold Rolex crown at 12 o?clock. Dial marked Rolex, Chronometer. Black minute chapter, indented engine turned, subsidiary seconds dial with black seconds chapter. Gold Dauphine hour hands. Gold tapered, baton seconds hand.
Case, movement and dial signed.
