Description

British. Circa 1941. Artist is Harold Forster, an illustrator and well-known poster artist of the 1920s. This poster is typical WWII British propaganda which instilled caution in the public through humorous slogans rather than through fear-inducing images of spies. Poster shows an attractive woman surrounded by three officers representing the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force. The "Careless Talk Cost Lives" campaign was very successful because people found the message easy to follow. Poster not removed from matting. Unknown beyond matting.

Sight: 21" x 14.25". 27" x .25" x 20".

Condition
Professionally matted. Minor creases extend from lower left edge. Original fold marks are evident.
