Description
Japanese. 1950s. The Yoneya family from Tokyo, Japan originally used the "SY" trademark, as it was more anglicized than their family name and therefore hoped it would attract Western world toy markets. Marked, "SY", on lower left corner of box lid. Marked, "Made in Japan", on lower left corner of back of truck.

Toy: 3" x 7.25" x 3". Box: 3.5" x 8" x 3.5".
Condition
Toy is in excellent condition. Shows some playwear, with minimal scuff marks and chips throughout. Shows minor oxidation on underside. The original box shows some tape restoration. Bell and friction function properly.
