Description
My approach to my art practice is an exploration where I seek to find the significance of the physical space into the abstract and over the years, much of my work has been from the perspective of fragmentation and geometric abstraction. The human psyche in combination with my strong interest in nature as a place of spirituality and ritual, has always been prominent aspects in my artistry, where I often use abstract forms and reinforce them with colors to try to emphasize this relationship. By using color, I try to create different perspectives to discover new relationships between shapes, movement and space in my artistry. Maria Granadino is a visual artist whose work is distinguished by its abstract and allusion to figurative representations through a contemporary approach of different influences. From geometric shapes to the fluidity of modernist art through a minimalist color palette that is influenced by nature. Born in Sweden with a multicultural heritage rooted in Mesoamerican indigeneity and unity with earth, that delicately influences the art, she started her professional career as an artist in 2016, after graduating from Regents University London in England, with an interdisciplinary B.A. (Hons) in art and film. Granadino has also studied art history and aesthetics at a master's level which comes through philosophically in the work. Her work has been exhibited in various countries, such as the United Kingdom, the U.S., South Korea, Taiwan, and Sweden 65 cm x 54 cm Acrylic on Canvas
