H:60cm,W:78cmWu Guanzhong graduated from Wuxi Normal School in 1934, and then entered the electrical engineering Department of Zhejiang University. In 1936, he was admitted to the preparatory School of National Hangzhou Art College and studied painting under the guidance of Li Chaoshi, Fang Qianmin and Wang Ziyun. In 1938, he was promoted to undergraduate from the National Hangzhou Art Academy and studied oil painting under Chang Shuhong and Guan Liang. In 1942, he graduated from the National Hangzhou Academy of Art, and became a teaching assistant in the Department of Architecture of National Chongqing University, teaching sketch and watercolor. In his spare time, he audited literature and history courses and French courses in Central University. In December, his work Still Life participated in the third National Art Exhibition held in Chongqing. In 1972, he created oil paintings "Melon Vine", "Sorghum and Cotton", "Landlord's Home", "Mountain flower", "Sparrow", "wild chrysanthemum", "Pond", "Xibaipo Mountain Village", "Guilin Mountain Village", "Li River New Bamboo", "Qian Ling Mountain", "Yangtze River Morning fog", "Waterfall", etc.; In May 1990, he went to Singapore to participate in the "Wu Guanzhong Watercolor pastel Exhibition"; In May 1991, "Wu Guanzhong Teachers and Students Exhibition" was held in the Museum of Chinese History; He died in Beijing on June 25, 2010, at the age of 91.
