The Distler company was founded by Johann Distler in Nuremberg (JDN) Germany and was known initially for its penny toys before venturing into trucks, trains, and clockwork airplanes. The company was known for its attention to detail and the quality of its pieces. A hard-to-find collectible. Marked, "J D N", on top center of grille. 6.5" x 6" x 19".

Very good condition. Missing one front seat passenger. Light oxidation to the chassis and tops of running boards. Ladder shows playwear. Paint wear to metal on all tires. Key will wind spring but the spring will not catch as gear is missing. Ladder raises and lowers when wheel is turned. Bend/creasing to lower front below grille.
