Description
A mid to late 19th century gold cannetille and Chinese carved horn floral brooch.
Diameter 2.6cms. 7gms.
Condition Report:Surface scratches and minor marks.
Later/replacement brooch fittings.
Carving shows losses to one leaf.
Horn very slightly loose in the mount.
Electronically tests to reverse as approximately 20ct gold. Later fittings untested, presumed lower.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
