This OUTSTANDING cotton 30's "rising sun" / compass quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted, with four borders.
It measures 88" X 90" and is excellent, never washed condition, with the occasional small, inconspicuous spot and no wear.
The hand quilting is exceptional, with quilting around the piecework and in elaborate floral, feathered, and grid designs in the background, all at an even 10 stitches to the inch with faint pencil marks still visible in places.
The back is white and the batting is thin. High quality solid cotton fabrics were used throughout.
