This Antique Russian or Black Forest Ornate Fretwork Baby Crib or Doll Bed most likely is one of a kind. I was able to find another anywhere close to it online. It came from the estate of an antique dealer and it was stated that it was made in Russia but I think it could have just as easily be German from the Black Forest. No marking since it was hand made and most likely one of a kind. It has beautiful fretwork and inlaid white diamond shaped “porcelain” pieces on both ends. It has rings on the handle for the baby to play with. Solid and no structural problems and no broken fretwork. It is missing one brace which does not seem to affect the sturdiness of the item and one finial (broke off-both shown in photos). It measures 23 ½” in length, 19” wide and 18 ¾” tall.
