New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, 1279-1213 B.C. Rectangular bead with faintly impressed hieroglyphs on both broad faces, giving Ramesses II's birth and throne names. Cf. Petrie, W.M.F., Scarabs and Cylinders with Names, London, 1917, XLIV, no.2, for this type of block bead with faintly impressed hieroglyphs. 3.59 grams, 23 mm (1 in.).
