Description
Rare 1876 antique U.S. Treasury twelve -button lock Made by the Clarke Combination Lock Co. Baltimore. Marked: Pat'd Feb 4 1873, June 15, 1875, reissued Feb 29, 1876 and further engraved on the reverse: U.S. Treasury Lock. The combination in unknown. The lock will open by pressing the proper lettered buttons in the correct sequence. Their is a brass cover with snap lock that has protected the buttons from damage. Signs of wear and use are typical with the age of this piece.
