GLASS: Brides basket and bud vase on stand, both enameled opaque blue glass with enameling supported on ornate silver-plate frames, late 19th C. or later, details include: bride's basket bowl insert cased in white with crenellated edge, enameled floral borders to exterior, reticulated silverplate frame with shell, rosette and foliate scroll motif, fixed handle, no maker's mark viewed, heavy loss of gilt trim, rubbing of enamels, 16 1/4" l.; smaller bud vase with similar enameling, thin tapered neck over bulbous waist and pedestal base, unusual frame featuring flanking scroll handles with parrots in full relief perched on top, raised on four cabriole leggs with twig and berry supports mounted to skirt, no maker's marks seen, heavy layer of oxidation throughout, one bird slightly bent, 10 1/2" h., both pieces with wear consistent with age including rubbing of enamel and gilt finishes, oxidation, minor scratches and dings, etc.
