This is a simple but sophisticated watch by one of the worlds great watch companies. Gruen, was a Swiss watch company but had manufacturing and assembly in America as well. They were renowned for designing watches of great style and complexity. Gruen was one of the major watch companies in my Grandfathers jewelry store in Los Angeles. This model with an original dial has what is called a "waterproof back" suggesting it is waterproof, but I would not go swimming in it though. You can however wear this watch all the time for all sorts of occasions and count on it as well and you will look great wearing it.
