Native American, Southwestern United States, Apache; Plateau region, Nez Perce; Plains tribes, perhaps Lakota (Sioux), ca. late 19th to 20th century CE. A collection of 3 beaded items from different Native American tribes. The belt is made from white and red cotton textile with leather hems and cords, the front stitched with gorgeous floral motifs in bright colors that are popular in the Plateau region tribes. The hide bag is beaded on one side with lane stitching, and the opening is about 1 inch, perhaps a flask for gunpowder or ammunition caps, likely Plains tribe made. The last is a miniature Apache burden basket encased in beadwork using a netted stitching technique and dangling tassels. The interior that holds the beadwork shape is an upcycled plastic measuring cup - the type that comes with liquid medicine bottles. Leather on pouch has stiff straps with some supple areas, beadwork is intact- great antique condition. Basket is intact and great vintage condition. Belt is excellent, a few fraying stitches but beadwork is intact.
