Description
This lot contains a Pair of vintage 1940's hard contact lenses with their original case. The transition from ordinary glasses to contact lenses first began at the turn of the late 19th century when an artificial-eye manufacturer F.A. Mueller invented contacts. Mueller created the first pair of contacts using glass. This pair is made by an unknown manufacturer. The case is approx 3 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" and the contact lenses are each 1" x 1". Together everything weighs about 0.1lbs. Overall the contact lenses and the case are in good used condition with some light wear from use over time. Please reference all of the photographs as they are a part of the description.
