AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SILVER AND ENAMEL CASE
import marks, George Stockwell, London 1928, rectangular, the hinged cover centred by an oval enamel panel depicting Classical figures at rest with their sheep, framed by white and blue enamel borders, the sides with blue guilloché enamel, the base with a large blue guilloché enamel oval panel, the interior gilded. 7.8cm long, 3.6 troy ounces gross
The enamel is in good condition without loss but with a few light scratches, more so to the underside, understandably. The hinge is in good order, and the cover closes well. There is a small dint in the edge of the cover above the thumbpiece. Generally, it is in good condition.
