Description: A large hand painted KPM porcelain plaque after the Baroque painting by Il Domenichino, depicting St. John the Evangelist seated with a book and scroll, beside him a poisoned chalice with emerging snake, his eyes gazing at an eagle, the symbol by which he is often represented. The plaque is housed in its original frame.
