Description

Likely English, 20th century. Giltwood convex mirror in the Regency or Federal taste, having an eagle crest, spheres and ebonized inner fillet, and terminating in acanthus leaves. Apparently unmarked.

Approximate dimensions: h. 34", w. 20", d. 4.5"

Provenance: The Collection of Jerome and Bridget Dobson, Atlanta, GA.

Condition

Scattered repaired cracks/breaks to crest, scattered chips to finish, some dryness cracks, loss of silvering to plate, frame is structurally sound.
