A stunning agate cameo featuring the head of a youthful beauty, likely intended as a classical goddess, in profile set in an 18-karat gold brooch with a suspension loop for additional wear as a pendant. Gazing downward to her left, her sweet visage is crowned by a tiara as her luscious locks pile elegantly atop her head with a few sinuous coils meandering down the nape of her neck. The cameo is fit in a raised bezel with a slender twisted band around the border and a post-1930 safety catch on the verso.
