Each of the vases is decorated on the body with four panels, two containing scenes of ladies and boys, the other two contains scenes of birds and flowers; the neck is decorated with two panels, both depicting scenes of ladies and boys; the lower body is also decorated with four panels with silimiar scenes of the main body, all against a gilt and scrolling floral ground, 17.1/4 in. (23.8 cm.) high, 7.1/2 in. (19 cm.) wide each.

The mouths of both vases were repaired and over-painted; a Y-shaped hairline and other hairline to the mouth of one vase, and one fine crack to the mouth of another vase. Expected gilt and paint loss to the body.
