One of the rarest Lustig books, and a fascinating look at Los Angeles on the cusp of the 1950s. From the collection of Harold M. Mayer, with his name stamp to the fly leaf. Mayer was professor of geography at the University of Chicago before moving to the University of Wisconsin?Milwaukee. In addition to teaching, he was involved in the planning of several public projects, most notably the St. Lawrence Seaway. He was the author or co-author of nine books, including Land Uses in American Cities.
Condition
Good in a poor dust jacket, bumping and light fraying to spine ends and corners, former owner's small name stamp to the fly leaf. The dust jacket is missing the entire spine panel, and also shows chipping to the edges and corners, price-clipped.
