This Tibetan meditation rug features a rare design of two large blue dragons whose S-shaped sinuous bodies are speckled with white dots. They are positioned in mirror image in the light brown field and look straight at the viewer. It remains a question of personal interpretation whether the dragons’ facial expression with wide open eyes and their teeth bared are supposed to be friendly or spread fear and terror.
Obvious signs of wear, low pile, slightly damaged sides.
