Claude M. Chevalier (Fr./Am. 1899-1994) born in Vitry, France, lived and died in New Milford, CT. A pleasing heavy impasto expressionist painting, unsigned. Chevalier was a long time New Milford CT resident who originally painted in France and subsequently in Connecticut; his work was discovered posthumously when a third floor art studio was found in his home with many completed artworks. Frame size: 28 5/8" high, 32 1/2" wide. Frame losses.
