A transitional Chippendale style mahogany highboy, mid to late 19th century. The highboy with broken arch top and 3 flame finials over 3 short drawers - the central short drawer with carved shell on drawer front - over 4 graduated long drawers with molded edges, over 1 long drawer over 3 short drawers - the central short drawer with carved shell on drawer front - mounted on cabriole legs leading to pad feet. All drawers with original double eagle brass hardware and matching escutcheons. Veneer crack on the sides of the upper case, else good condition. It measures 39 1/2"W x 20 1/4"D x 82 1/4"H.
