Two early candle lanterns. The first, an unusual Paul Revere type pierced tin lantern with pierced dormer-like vents on the domed top - missing the glass on the curved front door, some dents in the tin, else good condition, late 18th to early 19th century - 15 1/2"H x 6 1/2" diameter; the second, a hanging tin candle lantern with 3 glass sides including removable sliding door, mounted circular tin feet - early 19th century - rusting and missing 1 glass panel - measures 17 1/2"H x 6 1/2" square. Provenance: From the Carole Ostergren collection, Walden NY.
