Originally blued before being embellished beyond factory production with mixture of nickel and gold finishes. Light toned rosewood grips having silver eagle medallions plus laser engraved scrolls and western scenes. Sides of hammer are jeweled and sides of trigger polished bright. Fluted cylinder has covered wagon designs between flutes plus stars at rear near cylinder notches. Scroll engraving on barrel, sides of grip frame and cylinder frame. "1 OF 25" on butt, "ESTABLISHED SEPTEMBER 9, 1861" on back strap plus "A&A ENGRAVING" / "Rapid City, S.D." in front of trigger guard. Simple internet search did not yield any history of this commemorative. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fine French fitted carry case (no key) of dark green canvas and maroon leather; brass hardware. Interior is dark red felt with recessed revolver outline. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent appearing new and unfired. (23-6707/NW). MODERN. $800-1,200.
