Item Details
Description
A 1956 Neubauer archtop guitar, no serial number, natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. From his collection of mid-century German archtop guitars.

Helmut Neubauer built guitars out of Bubenruth, Germany during the 1950s and 1960s. His guitars often feature a distinctive design on the headstock, this one made of contrasting white pearloid and swirly faux tortoise shell with a small Neubauer logo. A red five-piece maple neck with a bound 21-fret rosewood fretboard, with slanted block inlays including a orange one at the 12th fret position. A carved spruce top with “snake” sound holes, multi-ply binding, flame maple back and black-and-red painted flame maple sides, rosewood bridge, and harp tailpiece. Attila Zoller Shadow pickup mounted to the neck.

Includes soft-shell case.
