Most SIGNED and/or INSCRIBED by Dearn, several to “Jimmy” (James B. Findlay 1904 - 1973). On a photograph of himself seated and smoking a pipe, he writes “To/My Friend Jimmy from Edwin Dearn 6/1/1971” (recto); “Dreaming my way down “Memory Lane” In all the Luxury of calm retirement ~ “Oh Memories That Bless & Burn”! Aye Sincerely, Edwin “The Hermit of Larchwood” (verso). Sizes vary, largest approx. 8” x 10”. Condition commensurate with age. Sold with: VERNON, Dai (David Frederick Wingfield Verner 1894 – 1992), and Lewis Ganson, ed. (1913 – 1980). Malini and His Magic. London: Harry Stanley, (c. 1959). SIGNED AND INSCRIBED on front flyleaf by Ganson. Dearn contributed the text for this volume’s Chapter Nine. 8vo. Illustrated. Publisher’s full red cloth, front board and spine gilt stamped, with original pictorial dust jacket. Good condition. A fascinating archive.
