This vintage pair of late 19th century French porcelain statues are signed "France" in very dark blue over the glaze & over what appears to be a much lighter blue scepter under the glaze.The stunning pair a man & a woman of Paris porcelain statues are beautifully rendered & carefully costumed in period garments. Each of these full figure gentry characters are positioned standing alongside decorative water wells. Hand rendered painted accents are prominently featured on both costumes walls & platforms. The superb quality of these porcelains is evident. There is no lack of detail to be found !14" tall X 8 5/8" X 7 1/2"
