The upholstery does show signs of vintage wear such as discoloration and fraying on the arms as well as minor stains (all of which can be seen clearly in the photos provided) which makes this set the perfect candidate for re-upholstery in a fabric of your choosing. Message us prior to checkout to discuss pricing and options. The walnut bases are in superb shape showing no deep scratches gouges or stains whatsoever. Both chairs swivel 360 degrees and recline. These extraordinary chairs are incredibly comfortable structurally sound and ready for decades more of use.
