A French 1st Standard Silver Lidded Entree Dish, Mark of Emile Puiforcat
Paris, circa 1857 or after, engraved "Puiforcat Paris" to underside, featuring a reeded rim, scrolled double handles, and topped with a foliate finial, 950 Minerva and maker's mark to both pieces, without a monogram.

The mark of Emile Puiforcat was used by the grandson, Jean Puiforcat, until 1945.
