WW1 British 3rd July 1916 Killed in Action Medal Pair Essex Regiment, British War and Victory medals, “24049 PTE. C.W. WARWICK ESSEX R.” Charles William Warwick, from Stanstead, Essex, was serving with the 9th Battalion Essex Regiment and was killed in action on 3rd July 1916 during the attack on Ovillers and La Boiselle. He is entitled to this pair of medals only and now rests in an identified grave in Ovillers Military Cemetery, France.
